Bigge executed the extraordinarily rare and technically challenging task of erecting a luffing tower crane on a traveling chassis base for work on a large retail center in downtown Salt Lake City. Bigge not only provided the crane, a Comedil CTL 340, with a mast of 137 feet and a 131 foot jib, but also erected it and installed the rail system that will transport the crane as it works over the next year to help build the center.

A New York state judge has ordered New York City to reinstate the crane operator license of man with alleged ties to the Mafia. Judge Alice Schlesinger said that a rule that crane operators must be of “good moral character” in order to have their licenses renewed, was unfair and ordered the city to reinstate the license of Louis Inglese.

Critical Deadline – February 28th, 2011
Crane operators in British Columbia must have a valid operator’s certificate by February 28, 2011. Any operator not certified by February 28 cannot legally operate a crane in British Columbia. There are still many operators who have not been assessed and time and resources are limited.
Sky Train Transit network takes shape at Phoenix airport
The structure of the new Sky Train transit network is taking shape at the Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix. When complete, the elevated rail system will transfer passengers between the airport’s busiest terminal, Terminal 4, and the Metro Light Rail station and East parking lots.
