Dutch construction company Dura Vermeer has installed camera/monitor systems across its entire tower crane fleet in order to aid its crane operators and improve safety.

The city of Redding could face more than $26,000 in fines for Monday’s crane collapse.

The crane has a single cab and is suited to working indoors or in crowded urban settings.

The most number of reported violations came from scaffolding – 9093 violations. OSHA said that Scaffold accidents most often result from the planking or support giving way, or from the employee slipping or being struck by a falling object.

The G90 was acquired by Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano, which built and maintains the cathedral, along with the works of art inside.
