Evyap Port’s new 360 metre quay is being kitted out with ship-to-shore cranes in order to give a better container service. Previously operating with mobile harbour cranes, the new STS units will be capable of servicing post-panamax vessels in twin-lift operations. From it’s modest start as a soap-product terminal six years ago, Mehmet Serteser of Evyap explained: “We are looking to expand our terminal operations as more and more containerised goods flow in and out of Turkey.”
