Man injured after crane tips in Nottingham

A man was injured in Gedling, Nottingham yesterday after a crane lifting a hot tub off the back of a delivery truck and into position tipped. The 20 year old man – who was helping deliver the hot tub – was trapped against the wall of a bungalow while the crane boom landed on the bungalow roof and the hot tub landed in the garden.

Although details are still sketchy, the crane – from Mansfield-based Raymond Crane Hire – is thought to be a small seven tonne capacity The injured man was pulled to safety by an electrician – Gregg Titmuss – and taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The Health and Safety Executive have visited the scene of the accident. Tadano TS 75ML truck crane.
