NCCCO Rigging Training Now Available On-Line

Submitted by on Friday, 26 June 2009No Comment

tnriggingRiggers are important members of site personnel.  No lifting operation can be safe and complete without knowledgeable riggers properly securing the loads and understanding the impact of their work on the entire operation.  Riggers also face the greatest risk of electrocution if there is boom contact with power lines, as they are often guiding the loads.

Traditional Rigging Training Programs offered training only on Rigging Hardware and Load Weights and Handling.  The Operator Network Online Rigging Training Program is a completely innovative program developed to include training concepts previously only offered through in-depth crane operator programs.  Riggers will still enjoy the benefits of traditional training with the added coverage of topics pertaining to lifting operations.  Riggers are provided with a broader understanding of the overall lifting operation, including an overview of understanding load charts, so they are better able to understand how their role fits within the lifting operation.  Crane Operators have often expressed that they wished the ground crew had a better understanding of crane operations.  Operator Network has recognized that need by incorporating that understanding into the New Online Rigging Program, and has made it readily accessible through online training.  Broader based training enables Riggers to work more cohesively with heavy equipment operators and learn how to protect themselves from injury.

Traditional training and exam prep means leaving work for several days, traveling to distant locations, and sitting in a classroom while incurring huge expense. You get the most comprehensive training available anywhere, at your pace, your location, and at your convenience.  Operator Network is leading innovation by providing easy access to quality training at low cost.  The Operator Network NCCCO certification training programs meet ASME, ANSI, and OSHA standards and regulations.

Each user license has access to a learning management system with reporting capabilities.  Individuals or companies that request administrative access can view time spent on the course, individual quiz scores, and final exam results.  This feature is an excellent training management tool, especially for superintendants and training managers who need to prove due diligence in providing training to employees.

An optional supplementary workbook for the Online Mobile Crane Training Course is available for purchase.

Upon purchase, each user license allows 6 months for users to begin the course.  Once the course is started, you will have 90 days to complete the course.

LMS and reporting capabilities only available when using the online system, not available with purchase of CD’s.
